Donald "Sonny" Wooldridge, 68, of Cave City died July 16, 2005, at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 3, 1936, at Cave City, the son of Grover "Dattie" and Ruth Kerr Wooldridge. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Reynolds Wooldridge of the home; a son, Curt Wooldridge of Evening Shade; his mother, Ruth Wooldridge of Cave City; one brother, Danny Wooldridge of Cave City; three sisters -- Carolyn Mobley of St. Louis, Mo., Mert Matlock of Cave City and Becky Riley of Batesville; two grandchildren -- Haley and Ashley Wooldridge both of Evening Shade; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover "Dattie" Wooldridge.
The funeral was July 19 at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church north of Cave City, with Bro. Grayden Milligan and Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Palestine Cemetery west of Cave City, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Chad Woodridge, Tim Mobley, Butch Crafton, Brian Garland, John McSpadden and Gary Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers were J.W. Perkey, Wendell Perkey, Karrie Perkey, Vaughn Matlock, John Mobley, Gary Riley, Nathan Flanigan, Alan Jackson, Ricky Reynolds, Johnny Reynolds, Perry Tidwell and the staff of Cave City Nursing Home.
