Millard F. Gordon, 83, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Jan. 20, 2005, in Kankakee, Ill. Born Sept. 3, 1921, in Eastvale, Penn., he was the son of James W. and Pearl Freeman Gordon. He was a retired aircraft engineer with a doctor's degree from Carnegie Institute for Technology and served as a captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Virginia Osman of New Castle, Penn.; his son, Douglas (Peggy) Gordon of Philadelphia, Penn.; two step-sons -- Odis (Joann) Weaver of Plainfield, Ill., and Ralph (Nasrin) Barbee of Poway, Calif.; loving children -- Martha and Paul Duncan of Channahon, Ill.; his brother, George (Delores) Gordon of Aliquippa, Penn.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Nelle Ferguson Gordon; and his wife, Hazel M. Weaver Gordon.
The funeral service was Jan. 25 at First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village with Dr. Odis Weaver officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery at Cherokee Village with arrangements under the direction of Roller-Crouch McGee Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
