Billy Mearle Head, 45, of Rogers, Ark., died Dec. 9, 2004, near Garfield. Born April 12, 1959, in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of Edward Head and LaVonne Weisbrod Head.
He owned and operated Best Brake and Muffler Inc. in Rogers. He had previously served as a firefighter and EMT for the Beaver Lake Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working, traveling and hunting and his love for God.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Head of the home; three sons -- Kevin Johnson of Rogers, Josh Head of Lowell, and Matthew and wife, Monica, Head of Rogers; three daughters -- Amanda and husband, Jeremy Brannon of Elkins, Hollie Head of Elkins and Sarah Head of the home; his mother, LaVonne Head of Salem; his maternal grandmother, Vivian Weisbrod of West Plains, Mo.; three brothers, Chuck and wife, Alissa, Head of Evening Shade, Bob Head and Ron Head, both of Lowell; a grandson, Colton Brannon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Head.
A memorial service was held Dec. 12 at First United Methodist Church located at Third and Elm Streets in Rogers.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
