Fred L. Williams, 96, of Ash Flat, Ark., died Feb. 24, 2005, at Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehabilita- tion Center in Ash Flat.
Born Oct. 24, 1908, in Vanndale, Ark., he was the son of Willie Richard Williams and Allie Cynthia Lattie Williams. He worked many years as a broiler operator for the University of Technology.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ash Flat, Ark.
Survivors include five sons -- Burle Williams of Malvern, Fred E. Williams of Jonesboro, Ezra M. Williams of Clayton, Okla., Addison Dale Williams of McGee and Edward G. Williams of Benton; three daughters -- Winnie V. Wolfe and Evelyn D. Williams, both of Ash Fat, and Wanda L. Williams of Sherwood; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Neva Florence Williams; and two sons -- Dewayne and Richard Williams.
The funeral was Feb. 28 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel with the Rev. Van Brown officiating. Burial followed at Vanndale Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Ash Flat.
