Jacqueline Kay Johnson, 64, of Sedalia, Mo. passed away on July 23, 2002, at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. She was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Alton, Mo., the daughter of the late John William and Glenna T. Coble Chapin. In 1958, in Hughesville, she was married to Paul J. Johnson, who survives.She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was an operator and teller for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years and worked for the Sedalia School District for ten years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Com-munications Workers of America, and was active with Meals on Wheels and was a caregiver to her mother in her final years. She also enjoyed crocheting.Survivors are one son, Kevin P. Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Frank Chapin, of Independence, Mo.; and two sisters, Anna Lee Winfrey of Sedalia, and Betty J. Cooper, of Kansas City, Mo.She was preceded in death by her father in 1942, and her mother in 1996.Services were July 26, at the Ewing Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Campbell officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the New Hope Baptist Church.
