Grace Lee Poteete, 90, of Ash Flat, Ark., formerly of Memphis, Tenn., passed away Sept. 5, 2002, at the Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat, Ark. She was born Sept. 5, 1912 in Hope, Ark., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Beaver. She was united in marriage to Jessie "Pete" Dumint Poteete in 1928 in Arizona. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village.Survivors include three sons, Bill and Ronnie Poteete, both of Dallas, Texas, and Carol Poteete of Ash Flat; one daughter, Velda Morgan of Evening Shade; one brother, Loyal Beaver of California, 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, J. D. Poteete; two brothers, and four sisters.Graveside services were Sept. 7, 2002, at the Highland Cemetery at Highland, Ark., with Bro. Phil Huggins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service, Inc. of Hardy.
