Imogene Gentry Fowler, 87, a lifetime resident of Ash Flat, Ark., died Feb. 24, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark.
Born Feb. 5, 1918, in Ash Flat, she was the daughter of William Harve and Louvena Roberts Estes. She was a homemaker, a technician for Baxter Laboratories of Ash Flat for 15 years and a longtime member of Ash Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons -- Kennard Fowler and Bill Fowler, both of Ash Flat; a daughter, Phyllis Pendleton of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers -- Hayden Estes of Ash Flat, and Claude Estes of Armona, Calif.; a sister, Ota Manry of Hanford, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers -- Victor Estes, Jim Estes and Andy Estes; and two sisters -- Vada Kidd and Flossie Reeves.
The funeral was Feb. 28 at Higginbotham Chapel in Hardy, Ark., with Jack Richardson officiating.
Burial followed at the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with arrangements under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services Inc. of Hardy.
Pallbearers were Paul. Fowler, James Fowler, Billy Joe Fowler, Chris Wright, Jason Hale, Britt Acred and Jason Pendleton.
Honorary pallbearers were James Mattox, Homer Mattox, Bill Nix and Marty Goodwin.
