Bennie D. Floyd, 69, of Perris, Calif., son of the late Lindsey and Annie Morgan Floyd was born March 1, 1933, in Bandmill, Ark. He departed this life on Oct. 23, 2002, in Perris, Calif.
During his working years he was a car salesman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perris, Calif.
Survivors include four daughters -- Joanna Baxter and Rebecca Patterson both of Mountain Home, Ark., Beth Kratochvil of Dolph, Ark., and Stephanie Burrows of Riverside, Calif.; three brothers -- D. T. Floyd of Independence, Mo., Wayne Floyd of Overland Park, Kan., and Demelee Floyd of Mountain Home; five sisters -- Cassie Creighton of Batesville, Margie Eaton of Quincy, Ind., Anna Floyd of Melbourne, Erma Guiltner of Brockwell, and Sharon Guffin of Memphis, Tenn.; one special friend, Gloria Hinson of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and seven sisters.
Services were Nov. 2, at the Brockwell Tabernacle with Duane Flood officiating. Burial was in the Owens Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers were Donnie Creighton, Brian Eaton, John Davis, Sam Guiltner, Tim Floyd, and Steve Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Creighton and Eric Creighton.
