Coy James Morris. 73, of West Plains, Mo., son of the late Hugh Albert and Edna Agnes McCallister Morris, was born Jan. 23, 1931, at Hasty, Ark.
He died Nov. 7, 2004, at Kansas City, Mo.
He was united in marriage to Norma Lezene Reynolds Montgomery on Oct. 30, 1965, at Salem, Ark.
He spent his working years as a pest control exterminator, He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his wife, Lezene Morris of West Plains; three sons -- Ricky Morris and wife, Pauline of Harrison, Ark.; Roger Morris of Harrison; and Chris Morris of Harrison; two daughters -- Donna Foster of Sturkie and and Cindy Temple and husband, Greg, of West Plains; four sisters Hazel Smith of Kansas City, Ruby Smith of Kansas City, Lois Archer and husband, Richard of Kansas City and Bess Blair of Kansas City; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Hennesey, granddaughter, Candy Morris; and a son-in-law, Larry Foster.
Funeral services were held Nov. 10 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, with Bro. Jack Heavener officiating. Interment followed at Elizabeth Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Rex Foster, Chad Foster, T.J. Temple, Greg Temple, Bill Hodges and Chuck Hodges.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Bixler, Web James, Ronald May, Doyle Hively and Dwight Turner.
