Eleanor E. Dodge, 91, of Cave City, Ark., formerly of Woodland Hills, Calif., died Nov. 8, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark.
She was born June 22, 1913, at Boston, Mass., to Emory P. and Lucy Watson Eldredge.
She was a homemaker and a member of DAR.
She volunteered for many years at Veteran's Hospital in California. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cave City and previously was a member of the United Methodist Church in California.
Survivors include two sons -- John E. Dodge of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Richard S. Dodge of Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter, Judith E. Brecken-ridge of Cave City; a brother, Emory P. Eldredge Jr. of Maryland; one sister, Pricilla Bradley of Maryland; 11 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; two nephews; four nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sherwood II Dodge; one sister, Harriet Fitzgerald; two grandsons; and one niece.
A memorial service was held Nov. 12 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment followed at the Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif., with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
