Jeff Ring, 89, of Cave City, Ark., died Nov. 10, 2004 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born Dec. 12, 1914, at Poughkeepsie, Ark., he was the son of Bud Ring and Doll Barnes Ring. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons -- Jesse Ring of Grady, Ark., Pete Ring and Bobby Ring of Cave City; two daughters -- Sharon Ring of Cave City and Geraldine Ring of Batesville. one brother, Woodrow Ring of Batesville; one sister, Beatrice Morgan of Cave City; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Irene Ring, a son, J.D. Ring, three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were Nov. 13 at Maxville Cemetery with Michael Ring officiating. Arrangements were under by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Bristow, Bill Hamilton, Bill Gean, Junior Ring, Nick Ring and Jeremy Ring.
