Elmer Frazier, 89, of Cave City, Ark., died Nov. 4, 2004, at Cave City Nursing Home.
He was born May 27, 1915, in Independence County to James Manning and Minnie Ann Woodyard Frazier.
He was a farmer specializing in growing watermelons and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include his wife, Altha Fay Dethcrow Frazier of the home, three sons -- Chuck Frazier of Hot Springs, Don Frazier of Sherwood, and Richard Frazier of Maumelle; a daughter, Brenda Frazier Owen of Weatherford, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers -- Clarence Frazier, Coy Frazier, Archie Frazier and Allie Frazier; and two sisters -- Ina Mae Milligan and Una Foster.
The funeral was Nov. 7 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Wayne Goodman, James Foster and Bob Frazier officiating. Burial followed in Cave City Cemetery with arrangements being under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Chuck Frazier Jr., Mike Frazier, Shane Frazier, Chris Frazier, Justin Frazier and Billy Collier.
Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Bailey, Gene Smith, Verdell Russ, Raymond Dale Staggs, Coy Story and Ellis Runyan.
