Clarence Baldridge, 81, of Martin Creek, died on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. He was born Oct. 21, 1920 in Williford, Ark., the son of the late Arthur O. and Nora Ellen Young Baldridge. He was united in marriage to Emogene Williams on March 6, 1943 in Detroit, Mich. He was a farmer/cattleman and co-owner of Hilltop Grocery at Martin Creek. He was of the Church of Christ belief.Survivors include: his wife, Emogene Baldridge of Martin Creek; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Bill Stroud of Salem; one granddaughter, Jennifer Stroud of Nashville, Tenn.; a special niece, June Robbins of Santee, Calif.; a special brother-in-law, W.A. Williams, Jr. of Boise, Idaho; four sisters, Lue Ann Baldridge, Ruby Baldridge, Ruth Lawrence, and Irene Powell; two brothers, Roland and Carson Baldridge; and many other relatives and friends.Arrangements ere under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service, Inc. of Hardy.He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
