Alvina M. Sharp, 76, of Cherokee Village, Ark. died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 at the Eastern Ozarks Regional Hospital in Cherokee Village.She was born in Wisconsin Oct. 24, 1925, the daughter of Anthony and Ann (Grenda) Raynor, Sr. and was an RN for 20 years. She was a member of the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church, the Cherokee Village Diabetes Group, the Retired Nurses Association. She received her associate of science degree from Governs University and the bachelor of science degree from College of St. Francis, both in Illinois.Survivors includse two sons, Robert Joel Burke of Albuquerque, N.M., and Christopher Alan Burke of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Nadine Ann Burke of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Anthony Raynor, Jr. of Florida; and one sister, Reggie Zumdhal of Illinois; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Sharp; one son, Kevin Burke; and her former husband, Hank Burke.A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church with Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating. Arrangements were under the direcition of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.Lasting memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
