Willard L. "Buck" Rush, 81, of Evening Shade, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001 at his home. He was born July 5, 1920 at Evening Shade to Walter V. and Molly (Ford) Rush. He formerly lived in Noblesville, Ind., and retired from Firestone Industrial Products in 1981 after more than 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Masonic Lodge F & A.M. #744, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Evening Shade.Survivors include his wife, Gean Roach Nieman Rush of the home; four daughters, Gingie "Jill" McCune, Rebecca L. Dash, both of Noblesville, Ind., Bonnie S. Neidus of Beachwood, Ohio, and Dorothy "Andy" Anderson of Batesville; two brothers, W. D. Rush and Garland Rush both of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Jane "J.C." Ring of Kansas City, Mo., and Rose Murphy of Gould, Ark.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orville Rush, Coy "Chuck" Rush, four sisters; Susie Kunkel, Mildred Higginbot-tom, Minnie Belle Bearden, Mary D. Rush, and one granddaughter, Libby McCune.Services were Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Norman Ross Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Wes Mann, Sherman Ables, Harvey Hudspeth, Carlton Provence, Bill Pierce, and Ken Ward.Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Tucker and staff.
