Hardy couple releases first CD

Thursday, February 7, 2002

On Bended Knee, the musical duo of Peter and Pat Sautner, have released a brand new, original CD entitled "In the World…Not of It."

Peter and Pat live with their four children in Hardy. They recorded this CD in Horseshoe Bend at Straitgate Studios, owned and operated by Randy Bowen. The CD consists of original contemporary Christian folk/rock music.

Peter and Pat have been writing music for a number of years and this is their first release. "We have been writing songs alone and together for over 15 years, doing different fund-raisers over the years and serving as music ministers in our church, and now God has inspired us to broaden our ministry, use the talents that He gave us and release this album. We not only pray that our songs will touch people but we also want to help those in need in our local community," said Peter.

"I have always been drawn to help young women in need and it came naturally to me to use this CD to help raise funds for them. For this reason, 10 percent of the profits of this CD will be donated to the New Beginnings Pregnancy Center, located on Main Street in Ash Flat. New Beginnings is doing a lot of good things for the young women in our community," said Pat.

According to Janice Rabon with New Beginnings, the facility is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization whose primary goal is to assist girls and women and families in the surrounding areas with problem pregnancies.Rabon said the facility has six to eight volunteers and is supported by donations from local churches, service groups, individuals, and community fund-raisers.

Services offered by New Beginnings include: free pregnancy tests, free baby clothes and maternity clothing, adoption referrals, abstinence education and Bible studies.

"In the World … Not of It" is a blend of inspiring Christian folk ballads and upbeat folk rock. "The songs speak of the trials we all go through and the desire we all have for a peaceful world and how we must trust in God in all things," said Peter.

"Especially in these times, music can be a vehicle for inspiration. The world is out of control but God is still in control," said Pat.

On Bended Knee performed in Horseshoe Bend at Studio B on Nov. 24. Studio B is filming live shows to be piloted and marketed to television stations throughout the U.S. and overseas. Songs from the CD are currently being aired through a Christian radio network program called "New Heart New Voices" in St. Louis and to their affiliate stations. They will also be included in future programming for the EWTN Radio Network and will be able to be heard on shortwave radio globally, AM and FM stations and streamlined over the Internet this year.

"In the World … Not of It" CDs can be purchased at Red Mule in Highland, Kay's Bread of Life Bookstore & Nutrition in Ash Flat and at New Beginnings on Main Street in Ash Flat. They can also be ordered directly from Peter and Pat by sending $16 to them at: 30 St. Anthony Drive, Hardy, AR 72542. The couple will also arrange to provide concerts at local churches. Arrangements can be made for a concert by calling 870-856-3680.
