Amy Elizabeth Caldwell was born the daughter of James Otto Thompson and Susie Ann Hayes Thompson on Feb. 17, 1917, in Garfield, Mo., and died Aug. 23, 2007, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 90.
She was united in marriage on Sept. 21, 1935, at Alton, Mo., to Roy Lee Caldwell, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1994.
She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith.
She was faithful to worship her God and attended Rover Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by: five children, James Caldwell and wife, Gloria of LeMoore, Calif., Sharon Wilson and husband, Paul of Brunswick, Ga., Robert Caldwell and wife, Marie of Koshkonong, Mo., Tracy Reinmuth and husband, Vernon of Koshkonong, Mo., and Beth Kennedy and husband, Tony of Brunswick, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Roy Lee Caldwell; one daughter, Ginger Ann Neal; one grandchild; two sisters, Meda Dethrow and Ethel Canonica; three brothers, James Thompson, Cyrus Thompson and Farrell Thompson.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 26 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Ralph Orr and Junior Andrews officiating. Burial followed on Aug. 27 in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
