L. Alene Johnson Gibbs Shulte, age 56, of Ash Flat, Ark., died June 21, 2004, at Hunsville, Ark.
Born in Cash, Ark., she was a homemaker, living in Ash Flat since September 2003, moving to Rogers after living in Hoxie for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Schulte of the home; three daughters -- Valerie Holcomb of McCroy, Chrissee Gibbs of Fayetteville and Jennifer Arnold of Rogers; four step-children -- Bob Schulte, Jack Schulte, Kathy Miller and Judy Libke; four sisters -- Mary Ann Jones of Ash Flat, Faye Lewis of Springdale, Karen Selman of Lincoln and Lynn McCamis of Highland; four brothers -- J. T. Johnson of Ash Flat, Roy Johnson of Highland, Charles Ray Johnson of Fortville, Ind., and Wayne Johnson of Shreveport, La.; six grandchildren -- Chelsea and Seth Holcomb, Kort Giggs, Tiffany Littrell, Hannah and Travis Arnold; four step-grandchildren -- Jake Libke, Brett Schulte, Amy Locke, and Shannon Carter; and two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Alma Carr Johnson; her first husband, Jimmie Lee Gibbs; a brother, Clarence Johnson; a sister, Loreda Burgett; and a grandchild, Charles Blain Frasier.
The funeral was June 24 at the House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Bill Wheeler and Buford Blaney both officiating. Burial was in the Arnold Cemetery at Swifton, Ark., with arrangements by House-Gregg Funeral Home.
