THAYER -- Members of the Thayer Future Business Leaders (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2004 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference held April 18-20 in Columbia.
Over 2,300 members and advisors representing 389 chapters from throughout the state met to elect state officers, transact business of the state chapter, participate in leadership and career workshops, and compete in the state leadership awards program.
Winning recognition at the state conference were: Aaron Henry, Val Dixon and Josh Wemlinger, third place in Multimedia; Tiffany Poulette and Aaron Henry, fourth place in desktop publishing; Sarah Jo Prewitt, fourth place in Ms. FBLA; and Heather Coffell, ninth in introduction to parliamentary procedure.
Elected to serve as Missouri state chapter treasurer is Aaron Henry. His duties will include: presenting the state conference and state chapter financial reports to the executive council; assisting with state conference activities; performing other duties directed by the president; and participate in activities for the promotion and development of local, district, state and national FBLA. Henry will also be required to attend the National leadership Conference in Denver July 14-17 and will be accompanied by Tiffany Poulette and advisor Teresa Poulette.
