Christine Marie Smedley, of Salem, Ark., daughter of Alvina Ripplinger Sizemore and the late Ludwig Urlacher was born June 16, 1953, in Bremerton, Wash.

She died Sept. 10, 2003, at Batesville, Ark., at the age of 50.

She married Kenneth Carlton Smedley on Dec. 3, 1993. She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, and worked as a ward clerk at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. She was of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Smedley of Salem; two sons -- Kenneth Smedley II, of Tulsa, Okla., and Richard Smedley of Salem; a daughter, Robin Smedley of Salem; her mother, Alvina Sizemore of Port Orchard, Wash.; two brothers -- Pete Urlacher of Spokane, Wash., and Dale Urlacher of Port Orchard; two sisters -- Cheryl Archer of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Gloria Hamilton of Olalla, Wash.; three grandchildren -- Nicole Ann Smedley, Kenneth Carlton Smedley III and Camron Shawn Smedley.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and two infant brothers.

A graveside service was Sept. 13 at Fairview Cemetery with John Hodges officiating. Interment followed the service in Fairview Cemetery at Salem. Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
