MS businesses to hold grand openings this week

MAMMOTH SPRING -- Several new and recently purchased businesses in the Mammoth Spring area will hold grand opening July 17 and July 18.

Mammoth Florists was recently bought by Chyrl Williams. It is located at 271 Main Street and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

During the grand opening Mammoth Florists will hold a drawing for a fresh flower arrangement.

Tom and Ruth Armstrong and Scott and Kim Speaight recently purchased Radio Shack, located at 277 Main Street. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. On both days of the grand opening the Radio Shack owners will hold a drawing each hour for CDs and cassettes. They will also hold a drawing for a Cobra CB radio, a 19-inch color TV and two children's mini RC cars. Radio Shack will extend its hours on the days of the grand opening days to 7 p.m.The Out of the Way Cafe, located at 365 Main Street, is owned by Mike Geisenberger, Tina Miano and Ginger Gatewood. They will be offer free cake during the grand opening, and both days will give away a free breakfast and a free lunch.

McKellar's Fresh Produce Market, located at 515 Main Street, is owned and operated by Tom and Kathy Hoffman. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Hoffman will be offer hot pork sandwiches for $1 on Thursday and free sodas on Friday. The sandwiches will be supplied by another new business in the area, Mammoth Spring BBQ.

Mammoth Spring BBQ is located south of the city on Highway 63 next to Mammoth Spring Auto Sales. It is owned by Jim Wallace and Dan Wallace, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
