MAMMOTH SPRING -- State inspectors recently visited Mammoth Spring and approved the recent sidewalk construction that has been done in the city.
According to Mammoth Spring Mayor Jean Pace, not only did the sidewalks pass inspection but state inspector Rodney Satterwaite said the sidewalk construction would be a benchmark for future sidewalk construction in the state.
The project was a $50,000 project completed an Arkansas Highway Enhancement Grant submitted by Pace. The mayor said the sidewalks were completed at no cost overruns or delays.
The city now has new sidewalks through town with the exception of a one-block area.
