Holding Mount Pleasant to six points in the third period, Salem turned a 35-21 advantage after three into a 16-point win.
Brittany Bales led Salem with seven points, while Carrie Johnson and Tori Watkins tallied six points each.
The senior boys' game was canceled due to a lack of players on Mount Pleasant's part.
With just six active players on the Bluebirds' roster, and two of those out with illness, Mount Pleasant was short the five players required by Arkansas Activities Association rules to start a contest.
