Leonard O. Taylor, 78, of Ravenden, Ark., died Jan. 18, 2004, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.

Born June 21, 1925, in Dennison, Texas, he was the son of Jim Taylor and Ninnie Robinson Taylor.

He married Wilma Modell Pickett July 31, 1945, in Smithville. She preceded him in death Aug. 16, 2001.

He was a Mason, a member of the Smithville Lodge 29 for 50 years and was a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Grace, of Jonesboro; two sons -- Tommy Taylor and Darrel Taylor, both of Hardy; a brother, Ervin Taylor of Cherokee Village; and a sister, Bessie Lawrence, of Imboden; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a daughter, Phyliss Taylor.

The funeral was Jan. 21 at Lone Oak Baptist Church in Ravenden, with Rowdy Morgan officiating. Burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery. Arrange-ments were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service Inc., of Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers were John Smith, Cleo Hackney Kenny Bettis, Benny Collins, Anthony Frisbee and Gene Dearen.
