John Fagan Jr., 77, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., son of the late John and Elizabeth Tuzak Fagan Sr., was born June 1, 1926, in Springfield, Ill. He died Feb. 23, 2004, at Salem, Ark.
He married Elloise Woolsey Dorion Oct. 13, 1972, at Little Church of West in Las Vegas, Nev. He spent his working years as a loving husband, mechanic for Resilient Floor Covering Company, worked at Acme Steel Company and Trammell Crow Master Builders in San Diego, Calif., where he was in charge of security as Captain Securty Supervisor. He resided in El Cajon, Calif., before leaving for home in Horseshoe Bend, in Feb. 1992. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
During World War II, served honorably in several theaters, received many medals for outstanding service and was honorably discharged May 9, 1946. He also served in the San Diego Police Reserves for two years and was a member of Local Union #1711.
Survivors includehis wife, Elloise Fagan of Horseshoe Bend; two brothers -- Tom Fagan and wife, Doris of Johnson City, Tenn., and Harry Fagan and wife, Carol, of Escondido, Calif.; four sisters -- Evelyn Gill and husband, Floyd of Chicago Heights, Ill.; Gloria Johnson and husband, Walter, of Xenia, Ill., Beverly Linden and husband, Dave, of El Cajon, Calif.; and Charlotte Pikorz and husband, Walter, of Makham, Ill.;
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No service is planned at this time.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
