OREGON COUNTY -- Two Thayer residents pleaded guilty to drug charges in Oregon County Circuit Court Feb.18.
Crystal Bowers, 21, pleaded guilty to a class C felony possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections with a suspended execution of sentence and placed on five years probation.
Bevon Poulette, 24, also of Thayer pleaded guilty to a class B felony charge of manufacture of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections with 120 days in the shock program. This means if Poulette successfully completes the 120 days in the prison's general population he will be placed on probation.
In other law enforcement news, two Thayer men were sentenced to probation Feb. 18 for stealing.
Joseph Defina, 24, and Justin Tune, 19, were charged with stealing from T and T Manufactured Homes in Thayer. Both were placed on supervised probation.
