THAYER -- Thayer Bobcat Homecoming will begin Oct. 22 with the Homecoming parade in downtown Thayer. The parade is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. The football game that night will feature the Bobcats taking on Ash Grove with the game starting at 7 p.m.
Before the game one of three senior candidates will be crowned 2004 Bobcat homecoming queen. The candidates are Jessica Cates, Valerie Dixon and Tasha Wrenfrow. After the ball game a reception will be held in the high school cafeteria.
On Oct. 23 a green and white football game is planned for 1:30 p.m. at the football field and homecoming activities will end that evening with the annual alumni dinner at the high school at 6:30 p.m.
The Thayer High School Class of 1984 will celebrate their 20th class reunion during homecoming weekend. Scheduled reunion activities are:
Oct. 23 at 1:30 p.m. a green and white game will be played at the Thayer Football Field. Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The class will meet at the Riverbend Restaurant in Mammoth Spring for supper. After supper they may take in the alumni activities at Thayer and/or stop in at the Elks Club in Thayer.
The class of 1984 extends a welcome to anyone in the community wishing to join them during their reunion weekend.
The reunion is traditionally held during Homecoming weekend.
A class spokesperson said they especially encourage parents of the class of 1984 to join them and those who attended school with them for a period of time but aren't listed on the graduating list to know they are welcome to attend the activities.
Class members said they encourage schoolmates from other graduating years and former teaching staff to come. Early reunion arrivals will be at the parade and homecoming football game.

The Thayer High School graduating class of 1959 will meet at the parade Oct. 22 in front of the bank. They also plan to be at the football game that evening at 6:30 p.m. Following the game they will go to the reception in the high school cafeteria.
A breakfast is planned for 9 a.m. at the Warm Fork Cafeteria in Thayer. At 3 p..m. a class get- together is set for the Christian Activity Center on Chestnut Street. That night the class will attend the alumni dinner at 6:30 at the high school. Classmates from other classes are invited to join any or all of the class of 1959 activities.
