Bobbie J. Ballard, 72, of Evening Shade, Ark., died Oct. 15, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born Sept. 7, 1932, at Batesville, Ark., to Lawrence Marvin and Hattie Maude Thompson Weaver.
She was a homemaker, past member of the order of the Eastern Star, a foster grandparent at Evening Shade School and attended the First Baptist Church at Evening Shade.
Survivors include two sons -- Mike Ballard of Lavaca and Pat Ballard of Redfield; a daughter and son-in-law -- Sondra and Bill Qualls of Evening Shade; two sisters -- Lorez Justice of Wichita, Kan. and Lorene E. Parvin of Batesville; three grandchildren -- Kevin Qualls of Cave City, Chris Qualls of Salem, and Brandy Cornwell of Mt. Nebo; two great-grandchildren -- Garrett Ross Qualls of Cave City, and Macy Grace Qualls of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Oct. 17 at First Baptist Church in Evening Shade with Larry Weaver officiating. Burial followed in Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Frankie Dickerson, Sherman Ables, Dowl Thomas, Mike Cushman, Billy Ray and Jimmy Bray.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Luther M. Ballard.
