The fifth annual Tommy Bolt Classic is set for June 28, according to the tourney committee.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Fountain Place, a retirement community in Cherokee Village.
As usual, the tournament will be held at the championship South Course in Cherokee Village.
Special plans are being made to recognize 2008 as the 50th anniversary of Tommy Bolt's win at the 1958 U.S. Open.
Included in those plans will be an auction conducted on E-Bay, that will end the day of the tournament, involving golf memorabilia collector items related to not only Bolt, but also other well-known golf professionals.
Those items will be in addition to a number of other silent auction items available that day.
Bolt is believed to be the oldest living U.S. Open winner at age 92.
It is expected he will be in attendance to have his photo taken with participating foursomes.
Sponsor brochures are expected to be mailed to prospective sponsors on April 1, and team registration forms are to be available by May 1.
For additional information about the tournament, or about residences presently available for rent, the public is invited to visit the Fountain Place Web site at www.FountainPlace.us. Or call Oral Henderson at 870-257-2452.
