Helen Marlene Kehrli

Helen Marlene Kehrli, 89, died Oct. 28, 2007, at Good Samaritan Village in Genesco, Ill. She was born July 19, 1918, the daughter of Otto H. Berens and Elsie M. (Bissell) Berens of Wood Center, Iowa.
On March 30, 1941 Helen married Burnell F. Kehrli of Coggon, Iowa. To this union, three children were born.
Helen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Edgewood, Iowa, and later the United Methodist Church of Cherokee Village. She was involved in many community activities including Pythian Sisters, Eastern Star, Edgewood Women's Club, band boosters and also with many church activities.
Starting in 1964, Helen and family split their time between Edgewood, Iowa, and Cherokee Village. They became year-round residents of Cherokee Village in 1991.
She is survived by: three children, Judy Junis of Geneseo, Dean (Zell) Kehrli of Springfield, Mo., and Darrell (Debbie)?Kehrli of Cherokee Village; grandchildren Kari (Tom)?Parrott of Oelwein, Iowa, Jenifer (Steve) Countryman of Prophetstown, Ill., Kristi (Craig) Kuehl of Fairfield, Calif., Adam (Missie) Kehrli of Aurora, Colo., Andy Junis of Houston, Texas, Kati (Bill)?Burke of Edgerton, Kan., Joshua Kehrli of Springfield, Mo., Trent Shipley of Little Rock, Ark., Amanda Shipley of Jonesboro, Ark., Sidney and Steven Jackson of Springfield, Mo., and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnell and a grandson, Timothy Dean Junis.
