Michael Noil Walker, 40 of Spring Hill, Kan., formerly of Brockwell, Ark., died Nov. 9, 2007, at Spring Hill. He was born March 3, 1967, at Batesville, Ark., the son of Osburn and Marie (Taylor) Walker. He received his bachelors degree in 1988 and his masters degree in counseling in 1993 from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and was a National Board Certified Counselor. He was a school counselor for the Kansas City Missouri School District. He was a genealogy researcher and an editor and publisher of the Izard County Pioneer Times. He was 32nd degree Mason, a shriner and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his mother, Marie Obbards of Brockwell; three brothers, Richard Blevins of Pleasant Plains, Fred Walker of Bockwell and John Walker of Brockwell; one sister, Linda Edwards of Brockwell; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Osburn Walker and one daughter, Alana Walker.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at the Oxford Church of Christ at Oxford with Tom Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Violet Hill Cemetery located at Violet ?Hill with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers were Alan Sherrell, Max Williams Alan Estes, Luther Yancey, Jerry Blevins and Doc Warden.
