VAN BUREN -- A Koshkonong man pleaded guilty recently to several charges, including drug trafficking, and a probation violation. The case was heard on a change of venue from Oregon County to Carter County before Associate Circuit Judge David Hedspeth.
Richard L. Thompson, 43, of Koshkonong was sentenced to 15 years in state prison on the drug charge and five years on the probation violation. According to a spokesperson from the Oregon County Sheriff's Office, the sentences are to run concurrently.
Court record shows the charges against Thompson stem from an incident that occurred on Feb. 1 where he attempted to manufacture more than 90 grams of methamphetamine.
