An Izard County man who has been running from authorities since early August is no longer just a local criminal, according to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence. Seth Johnson, 30, of Melbourne who has been on the lamb ever since the warrant for attempt to commit arson was issued by Izard County authorities, has taken his scheming all the way to Ohio. There is currently an Ohio warrant against Johnson for trademark counterfeiting; this crime is connected to Johnson's dealing with fraudulent Internet transactions, Lawrence said. Johnson recently sold a fake Rolex watch via the Internet for $4,100, and there are likely to be other, more local victims, he said. Anyone with any complaints or information regarding Johnson's whereabouts can call the Izard County Sheriff's Office at 368-4203.
