Clifton Lee Kendrick, 61, of ?Cherokee Village, Ark., died Sept. 5, 2007, at his residence. He was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of James and Doris (Jarboe) Kendrick.

He graduated from Arkan-sas State University and was a member of the International Honors Society. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War as a Navy Seal. Kendrick was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW, the American Legion and was the past president of both the Elks and the Eagles in Jonesboro. He worked for the city of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department at the Aquatics Manager before retiring completely. He had also woked as an insurance salesman and a car salesman. ?He was a member of St. ?Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village.

He is survived by: his wife, Janice Stewart Kendrick of the home; his mother, Doris Kend-rick of Cherokee Village; two sons, Patrick Kendrick of Cherokee Village and Kieran Kendrick of Highland; one step-son, Stephen Stewart of Swifton; one brother, Timothy Kendrick of Cherokee Village; two sisters, Claudia MacAr-thur of Cherokee Village and Jamie Prohaska of Matteson, Ill.; five grandchildren, Erin, Tara, Amelia and Carrick Kendrick and Logan Powell; and other relatives and friends.

A rosary service was scheduled for Sept. 8 at St. ?Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with a Funeral Mass following with Father Tom Marks officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
