Lavern Hall, 76, of Batesville, Ark., died March 8, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Oct. 17, 1931, at Frisco City, Ala., to Erskin and Olympia Akins Ward.
She was a homemaker, retired from the White River Medical Center in Batesville and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Hall of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Kathy Hawkins and Linda Hedler both of Batesville and Lisa Willis of Mountain?Home; one brother, Donald Ward of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Melba Hollingswoth and Merle Sanks both of Bay Minette, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Leon J. Hall; one son, Michael Hall; one brother, Earl Ward; and two sisters, Nora Blackmon and Agnes Guieldry.
Funeral services were held March 11 at the Vine Street Missionary Baptist Church located in Batesville with Bro. Larry Travis officiating. Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery located in Bethesda with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers were Chris Hedler, Jason Hedler, John Hedler, Matthew King, Derrick Hawkins and Timothy Hawkins.
Honorary pallbearers were Derrell?Hawkins, Bob Willis and Bob Hedler.
