Clarine M. (Estes) Coggin, of Granite City, Ill., formerly of Agnos, Ark., daughter of the late H. K. and Bessie (Gilbreath) Estes, was born on June 14, 1922, at Myron, Ark. She died Nov. 5, 2007, at the Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City at the age of 85.
Clarine was united in marriage to Truman Coggin on Sept. 26, 1942, at Salem, Ark. Clarine was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by: her husband, Truman Coggin of Granite City; daughter, Sheila Kay Brotherton and husband Richard of Manchester, Mo.; sister, Inez (Estes) Hupaylo of Glencoe, Ark.; two grandsons, Michael and Kevin Brotherton; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Conner Brotherton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and three brothers, Waymon Dale, John Calvin and an infant.
Funeral services were held Nov. 7 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, with Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Interment followed in the Morriston Cemetery, Morriston, Ark., under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jerry Collins, Donald Cooper, Harrel Ray Estes, Dale Godwin, Avery Humphrey and Marty Ninemire.
Honorary pallbearers were Richard Brotherton, Johnny Cooper and Keith Horton.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
