The 11th annual Cherokee Village Oktoberfest will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10-3 p.m. at the Town Center. Entertainment, German, music, contests, crafters, booths and food will be available throughout the day.
Contestants are needed for the children's Halloween costume contest that will be held at 2 p.m. Contestants must be registered by 1:30 p.m.
The annual dog show is a favorite and any local area resident is encouraged to register their favorite dog. The show will be held at 1:30 p.m. and dogs must be registered on site by 1:25 p.m.
There is also a pumpkin decorating contest that accepts entries from either individuals or businesses. Pumpkins must be registered by noon.
Gift baskets and cash prizes will be given for first through third place in each contest. Winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m.
The Cherokee Village Business Association, sponsors of Oktoberfest, encourages your entry and invites all to enjoy a fun fill day.

Oktoberfest will be held Monday, Oct. 22 at St. Michael's Parish Hall at 82 Tekawitha Drive and ?Highway 62/412. Tickets are adults $7.50 in advance, $8 at the door, children 6-11 $3 and under six is free.
Admission tickets entitle bearer to door prizes and winners must be present.
Serving from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will be bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, applesauce, dessert and beverage.
Music will be by the German Band. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
