Residents of Fulton County will have the chance Monday night to meet the candidates running for offices in Fulton County and hear what they have to say about issues that effect the community.
The Fulton County Hospital Foundation is sponsoring a political rally and ham and bean supper April 21 from 6-8 p.m. in the Miller-Hickinbotham Building at the fairgrounds in Salem.
The dinner, which consists of ham, beans, cornbread, dessert and drink will be available for $5 a plate. The money raised from the dinner will be used by the Foundation to benefit the community.
All Fulton County candidates will be given the opportunity to speak. Those candidates attending will give a speech about their personal positions and goals. After the speeches, the candidates will each hold a brief question and answer session.
According to Trena Spears, the Foundation does not endorse or support any particular candidate but is holding the rally to give voters the opportunity to know their candidates better.
Everyone in the community is invited and encouraged to attend.
