Mrs. June P. Baer, 85, of Cherokee Village, Ark., passed away June 18, 2005, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
Mrs. Baer was born on Jan. 21, 1920, in Omaha, Neb. the daughter of James and Aimee Elliott. She was united in marriage to Dexter Baer on Sept. 30, 1944, in Rogers Park, Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Baer moved to the Sharp County area twenty-six years ago from Des Plains, Ill. She belonged to the Lutheran Ladies Bridge Club and also the Cherokee Village Bridge Club. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village.
She is survived by her husband, Dexter Baer of the home; two daughters, Gloria Jean Gessler of Algonquin, Illinois, and Nancy Louise Baer of Rockford, Ill., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
