Kosh tramples Lions

Taking a break from Big Spring Conference play, the Koshkonong Bluejays hammered Bakersfield 74-54 in non-conference hoops action Feb. 8.

The Jays were paced by a game-high 27 points from Justin Rigel in the big win. Shane Waggoner tallied 12, Levi Roark followed with 14, and Tyler Roark nine. Lucas England hit for five, Greg Spoor four, Nathan Evans two and Ryan Ball one.

The Lady Bluejays opened the evening by blasting Bakersfield 58-42 behind a 27-point, 13-rebound double-double by Katy Roark.

Koshkonong (13-4) also got 12 points from Johna Wade, while Kendra Hall added 11. Mandy Driskell and Ashley Holesapple logged four points each for the Lady Jays.

A 30-point outing from Eminence's Paul Gregory, including 15 in the fourth period, helped the Redwings knock off Koshkonong 64-51 Feb. 7 in Big Spring play.

Rigel paced the Jays with 13, while Waggoner added 12. Levi Roark followed with nine, Spoor eight, Tyler Roark five, and Evans four.

Getting a big lift from Tyler Roark with 26 points, the Bluejays blasted past Dora 85-59 Feb. 11 to even their Big Spring record at 2-2.

Waggoner followed with 25, and Rigel added 14 for Koshkonong. Levi Roark tallied 10, England five, Spoor four, and Ball one.
