It's time for the semi-annual Library Book Sale and Gallery Flea Market. The sponsors share the Old Hardy Gym and it is reserved for Oct. 7 and Oct. 8. Shopping hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Book Sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, and the funds raised benefit the Hardy Library. The flea market is sponsored by the Spring River Art Gallery and any funds raised will be used to pay gallery utilities. Both organizations are non-profit, but profit by the generosity of the public, said an organizer.
The public is invited to donate books and flea market items. They should be delivered to the Hardy Gym on Oct. 6 from 8:30 a.m. until noon. All genre of books are welcome and may also be taken to the Hardy Library prior to the sale. Clothes and shoes are not acceptable items for the flea market.
Volunteers are welcome to help at the sale. To volunteer to work at the Hardy Gym on Oct. 6 for set-up or on Oct. 7 and 8 for the sale, call Jayne Abele at 870-257-3842.
