Neva Ida Martin died March 1, 2006, at her home in Thayer at the age of 87.
She was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Myrtle, Mo., to the late Bloomer and Ora Ida (Crass) Clark.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis of the home in Thayer; three sons, Bill Martin and wife, Ellen, of Thayer, Jerry Martin and wife, Jill, of Springfield, Mo., and James Martin and wife, Sharon, of Thayer; 11 grandchildren, Mark Martin and wife, Monica, of Thayer, Scott Martin and wife, Allison, of Springfield, David Martin Letsch and Zach Martin and wife, Marah, both of Springfield, Chase Woodiel and husband, Jon, of Fair Grove, Mo., Brian Martin and wife, Brenda, of Thayer, Jennifer Agnew and husband, Tony, of Springfield, Amy Martin and Andy Martin, both of Thayer, Matt Martin of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Ben Martin of Thayer; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Clark of Granite City Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joe and Bob Martin; one grandson, Flint Colter Martin; one brother, Leonard Clark; and one sister, Lela Newman.
The funeral services were held March 5 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thayer. Mike Martin officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Mark Martin, Scott Martin, David Martin Letsch, Brian Martin, Andy Martin, Matt Martin and Ben Martin.
