Officers examine the crumpled remains of a 1992 Oldsmobile Regency that was involved in a one vehicle wreck along Highway 62/412 Nov. 1. Shandie Eckland, 25, of Salem was traveling east when the wreck occurred around 11 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the report filed by Arkansas State Trooper Daniel Busch. The report said Eckland lost control of her vehicle, driving it into the southern ditch of the highway and traveling approximately 598 feet with the vehicle turning over three times. The vehicle came to rest near the border of Fulton and Sharp counties near the Ash Flat city limits, landing right side up, facing north. Eckland was transported by ambulance to the Fulton County Hospital. Air Evac was called to transport her to another facility; however, after being examined, her injuries were treated at Fulton County Hospital.
