Ella Davis, of West Plains, Mo., formerly of Oxford, Ark., was born July 31, 1907, in Oxford to Robert Tatum and Fannie Hamilon Tatum.
She died Aug. 31, 2005, at National Health Care in West Plains at the age of 98.
At the age of 13 she married Floyd Davis at Oxford. She was employed by a nursing home for many years.
She was a member of Campground Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children -- J.C. Davis and wife, Reba of Blue Springs, Mo., Howard William Davis of West Plains, Mo., and Henry Deal Davis and wife, Lois of Oxford; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 44 great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Paul Eyvone Davis and Robert Davis; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six sisters; two brothers and her father and mother.
The funeral service was held Sept. 3 at Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem with burial in the Oxford Cemetery. Arrangemnts were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
