W. C. "Bill" Brown, 55, of Batesville, died April 9, 2006, in Batesville.
Born May 18, 1950, in Batesville, he was the son of Rupert C. and Winnie Lee Meachum Brown. He graduated from Batesville High School. He attended college at ASU in Jonesboro.
He was a lineman for Arkansas Power and Light for 21 years and was a cattle farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed NASCAR, the outdoors, duck hunting and deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Jackson Brown; two daughters, Angela Noakes and Tiffany Flynn and husband, Joe Flynn of Mammoth Spring; a stepson, Lucas Barber of Batesville; a stepdaughter, Shawna Scroggins of Batesville; a brother, Robert Brown of Batesville; and two grandchildren, Zackery Flynn and Brooklyn Noakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service was held April 12 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Buckner officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gerald Sutton, Chris Sutton, Gary Tate, Ricky Tate, Terry Hawkins and Harrell Baker.
