Events slated for Hardy

The 23rd Annual Hardy Antique Show will be held Sept. 10 and 11 in the Old Hardy Gym.

Vendors will exhibit antique and vintage wares. The antique show will be open free to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Free parking is available at the Old Hardy Gym and one block off Main Street.

The antique show will feature an on-site food concession and many restaurants are within walking distance of the event. Hardy offers a variety of lodging options including hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, RV sites, tent camping and furnished homes rented on a nightly or weekly basis.

The Old Hardy Town Fall Arts & Crafts Festival will be celebrating its 23rd year Oct. 15 and 16. The Arts and Crafts Festival will be open free to the public.

This two-day semi-annual event is sponsored by Main Street Hardy and the City of Hardy.

The festival will have several food vendors and nearly 100 craft vendors. Vendors will be located directly on Main Street in a festival tent, in parking lots along Main Street and in the Hardy Gym Community Center.

Craft vendors representing many states come to this bi-annual festival, one of the largest and most attended in the nation. The Arts & Crafts Festival annually attracts over 14,000 visitors to this town of 700 residents.

Main Street Hardy is now taking applications for vendors for the Old Hardy Town Arts & Crafts Festival. For a vendor application contact Main Street Hardy.

The Main Street Hardy Fall Gun & Knife Show will be held Nov. 5 and 6 in the Old Hardy Gym. The event will feature guns, knives, hunting paraphernalia, antique weapons, collectibles and memorabilia for buy, sell or trade.
