Eugenia "Gene" Mobley, age 82, of Chatham, Miss., formerly of Cave City, died Oct. 9, 2006, at her home. She was born Aug. 27, 1924, at Cave City the daughter of Lalandie and Ethel (Dethrow) Lewis.
She was a retired beautician and a member of the Methodist Church of Cave City.
Survivors include her husband, Clark Mobley of the home; one son Dwayne Mobley of Chatham, Miss.; one sister Katherine Rose of Cave City; two grandchildren, Wade Mobley of Hernando, Miss., and Chance Mobley of Oxford, Miss.; four great-grandchildren, Brian Kisded, Anna Grace Mobley, Madison Lee Mobley and John Thomas Mobley all of Hernando, Miss.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Rodney Lewis and Stanley Lewis.
Graveside services were held Oct. 14 at the Ball Cemetery located southeast of Cave City with Bro. L.J.Gay officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
