Irene (Foley)?Parsley, 89, of Poughkeepsie, Ark., died Oct. 22, 2007, at her home. She was born Sept. 21, 1918, at Smithville, Ark., the daughter of Bell and Laura (Spotts) Foley.
She was a homemaker, an avid gardener, enjoyed meeting with the senior citizens at Ash Flat and was a member of the Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Shirley Parsley and John Dean and Jone Parsley all of Poughkeepsie, Loren Parsley of Newark and Donis and Martha Parsley of Sherwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Morgan of El Dorado; nine grandchildren, Chris James and Dustin James both of Poughkeepsie, Michele Parsley of Batesville, Gregory Parsley of Poughkeepsie, Vanessa Newell of Little Rock, Brady Morgan of El Dorado, Bridgett Huff of Newark, Sabrina Parsley of Chicago, Ill., and Rachel Parsley of Little?Rock eight great-grandchildren, Caleb James, Cole James and Jacey James all of Poughkeepsie, Candace Bailes, Canon Morgan and Makenzie Morgan all of El Dorado, Caitlin Newell of Little Rock and Gracie Huff of Newark; one great-great-grandson, Logan Bailes of El Dorado; several nieces; nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Jess Willard Parsley; one brother, Garfield Foley; and one sister, Dessie Smith.
Funeral services were held Oct. 26 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. W.E. Norris officiating. Burial followed in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Chris James, Dustin James, Gregory Parsley Brady Morgan, Neal Newell and Shannon Huff.
Honorary pallbearers were the Adult Sunday School Class at the Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
