Harold Ellsworth Marsh, 92, of Horseshoe Bend died May 1, 2006, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. He was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Scott County, Ill., the son of the late Harold Conference and Mabel Llewelyn (Hawkins) Marsh. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Horseshoe Bend where he was active in church activities and was a retired school teacher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include: one son, Harold A. Marsh of Akron, Ohio; a daughter, Carolyn Marsh Brown of Irving, Texas; one brother, Denzil A. Marsh of Alton, Ill.; six grandchildren, Greg Brown, Doug Brown, Dave Brown, Jeff Brown, Phil Brown and Niki Marsh; three great-grandchildren, Marshall Brown, Alec Brown, and Leah Grace Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Virginia Childers Marsh.
The funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Horseshoe Bend, Burial followed in the Evening Shadows Memorial Park in Horseshoe Bend. Arrangements were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
