Goldie Scribner, of Salem, daughter of the late Roland Jennings and Phebie Thompson Jennings, was born April 11, 1916, in Calico Rock. She died May 1, 2006, at Fulton County Nursing Home in Salem at the age of 90.
She was united in marriage to Euell Huston Scribner on May 24, 1934, at Wheeling, Ark. To this union five children were born. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include four children: Hazel (Cleo) Wyatt of Mountain Home, Roye H. (Mary) Scribner of Salem, Nellie Dawn Gilbreath of Salem, and Tommy (Novela) Scribner of Salem; grandchildren Mark and Kevin Scribner, Jamie Vanaman, Shannon Cavanaugh, James Patterson and Grady, John and Casey Scribner; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Imogene Wayland of Mountain Home; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Phebie Sue Scribner; brothers, Roy Harlan, J.R. and Merle Jennings; and sisters Essie Snelson and Lillian McKenney.
The funeral services were held May 5 at the Salem Church of Christ with burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrange-ments were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
